2012 Golden Globes – Nominations (Motion Picture)

The nominations are in. One of my favourite categories – Best Animated Feature – has got me all hulk smashy. Rio and Kung Fu Panda 2 were snubbed in favour of Cars 2 (WTH?! Just because it’s Pixar doesn’t mean it should automatically get a nomination – Stinky film) and Tintin (meh). Other than that, the nominations are pretty much as expected – with The Artist leading nominations with 6. I’m glad to see Kristin Wiig get nommed for the brilliant Bridesmaids (I know, you probably hated it but I don’t care *la la la*) although I think Melissa McCarthy deserved one too. When the Oscar nominations are out in January, you can bet your MIB Mail-Away Boba Fett action figure that they’ll almost directly reflect these nominations – the drama categories anyway. So, for your perusal, here is the full list of the Motion Picture nominees for the 2012 Golden Globes Awards. The show will be going out January 15 with Ricky Gervais in the hosting seat once more.
