Here we have 2 character banners for the upcoming Joss Whedon movie The Avengers. The film continues the adventures of Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as they assemble as the mighty Avengers. Supporting characters returning in The Avengers are Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). The only thing we really know so far plot-wise is “When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.” So it’s very little to go on, but we’re definitely in for a treat with Joss Whedon at the helm. The movie is set for release on May 4 2012.
